Our family have been farming in Staffordshire since the 1800’s. The story began in the 1950’s when Roy Bartlett and his mother lay down their roots on a site of just 50 acres growing a wide variety of produce and selling it locally. Roy and Rod Bartlett later formed R&RW Bartlett and continued to grow, instilling their passion and experience in every aspect of the business. We are proud to say we’re a six generation family owned business, boasting a particular area of specialism in growing parsnips and carrots. Our passion for the products that we produce is as strong today as it was over 50 years ago.
Our business is driven by a passion for what we do. As a team, we all share a willingness to collaborate with each other and a determination to succeed. Helping each other, having fun while we’re working and creating an enjoyable working atmosphere is also incredibly important to us.
Our traceability systems are highly streamlined. The provenance of our produce is easily managed and traced, and our transparent approach to our processes takes the confusion out of defining any of our products origins.
We supply carrots and parsnips all year round. The majority are grown within a 12-mile radius of Shenstone. Our award-winning carrots and parsnips also boast numerous accreditation’s.
In the 1950’s, Roy Bartlett took the homegrown vegetables grown by himself and his mother to Birmingham Market to sell to local traders. A lot of things have changed since that time, but R&RW Bartlett’s values have remained the same. Reliability, quality, and service are at the heart of what we do, which is why our business has thrived in a bustling and competitive environment.
Some our team members have been working with us in the Birmingham Wholesale Market for over 25 years, bringing a wealth of experience and knowledge to the table. Over that time, relationships have been built with other accomplished growers which allow us to directly source the freshest, highest quality produce both here in the UK and across the globe.
